I visited the ABQ BioPark while I was still living in PA. I came out to Española for a course at the kundalini yoga ashram, and spent a couple of days in Albuquerque after the course ended.
The weather was beautiful that day and the grounds of the BioPark’s Botanical Gardens were very well maintained with an amazing collection of native and non-native plants, trees, and flowers. My favorite areas included the Sasebo Japanese Garden and the Butterfly Pavilion.
I was not too impressed by the aquarium (hard to compete with the Baltimore Aquarium close to my hometown), and I did not go into the zoo, but this place is a must-see if you’re in the area. Definitely kid friendly too.
